University of Rawalpindi is looking for a detail-oriented and skilled professional to join our team as an Internal Auditor. This role is vital in ensuring accurate financial operations, compliance with rules, and improving processes within the institution.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Internal Auditor will conduct financial audits, analyse data, identify discrepancies and provide recommendations for process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive audits of financial statements, operations, and compliance to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluate and monitor internal controls, ensuring their effectiveness in safeguarding assets and promoting efficiency.
• Analyze financial data and reports to identify inconsistencies or irregularities.
• Provide clear, actionable recommendations to improve processes, reduce risks, and enhance operational effectiveness.
• Prepare detailed audit reports, summarizing findings and presenting them to senior management.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance and risk management.
• Monitor follow-up actions taken on audit recommendations to assess their effectiveness.

Requirement

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (professional certifications are a plus).
• At least 3 years in an auditing or similar role (experience in an educational institution is an advantage).
• Proficient in financial database management and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with a commitment to confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
